YANGSHUO
We ended our cruise at the city of Yangshuo;
another
city popular with tourists and a great
spot for shopping.
The lady below right is barely three feet
tall and we thought she was a child at first. She was delighted
with herself after scamming us out of
15 Yuan for a set of small wooden ducks we really had no use for.
Afterward she burst out laughing whenever
we passed because, in addition to being easy marks,
we didn't know the difference between
a 1/2 Yuan and a 5 Yuan note.
This woman is chopping up a mixture of
locally grown peppers and garlic. The resulting mixture is quite
pungent.
